Waffle Bar 2018-2019

On January 9th 2019, (In)visible Women NYC held a second Waffle Bar.  We sold a variety of waffle flavors, from chocolate to plain to blueberry. Through this, we were able to raise funds to support the efforts of the Dwelling Place's two incredible live-in case workers. With a large variety of toppings, children and parents alike were able to enjoy this warm treat, and in turn, give to the homeless women in our community. Before handing out these delicious treats, we explained to customers where the proceeds would go, and why it is imperative to take action against the cycle of women's homelessness and readmission to the shelter system. This served as a great learning experience for our peers, who were able to take away much more than breakfast.
