Waffle Bar 2018

The first major public funding event which (In)visible women hosted was the Waffle Bar in 2018. During this time we sold fresh, homemade waffles in the morning. These were made either plain, chocolate chip, or blueberry, and with the choice of a dozen of toppings. These waffles were sold for $2-4. The bar went on for 3 days (January 24th-26th), with customers constantly coming back for more. Many stopped to discuss the reasons why the community should focus on supporting homeless women in particular, and others wanted to hear more about the Dwelling Place's efforts. With dozens of tireless volunteers, the Waffle Bar was a huge success. We would like to thank the UNIS community for making this event possible, and for funding mental health efforts at The Dwelling Place.
