Holiday Sale, 2018

Hot Chocolate and Cider for Mental Health

During UNIS' parent/teacher conferences from November 9th to the 12th, parents, students and teachers alike were able to contribute to the (In)visible Women NYC organization while enjoying a warm cup of apple cider or hot chocolate! Upon hearing the stories of the women at the Dwelling Place’s annual Fall Gala, our members were very keen to help. Through the group's dedication and the generosity of the UNIS community, (In)visible Women was able to raise $1,500. This money will help fund the Dwelling Place’s program to assist women in overcoming trauma, and improving their mental state  all while building a  self-sustained lifestyle to carry out after their stay at the shelter. On behalf of the Dwelling Place and the club, we would like to thank everyone for the generous contributions and support.
